Thumbprint Signature Program

The Thumbprint Signature Program has become very popular with banks of all sizes, offering an easy and inexpensive way to prevent fraud without inconveniencing customers.  The thumbprint touch pad is intended to deter counterfeit and stolen check fraud by obtaining an inkless thumbprint signature (fingerprint) from non-customers when cashing checks.  The thumbprint signature can also be used as a deterrent for new account fraud.  By providing fingerprints to law enforcement at the onset of an investigation, authorities are able to more quickly identify and apprehend fraud perpetrators.
